My two sisters and I meet once a week, via Google Hangout, for a “Conscious Manifestation” discussion. We share our experiences, encourage one another, give each other feedback, and tell each other what we’re up to with regards to manifesting.

BrainI believe that each of us – my sisters, and you and I – are powerful manifesters. We manifest everything in our own lives! Everything. People often resist that idea. It’s too scary to think that we manifest the shit that happens around us. But as I’ve studied more and more, and contemplated this subject, I know it’s true. Here’s the rub: We manifest with our mind – our conscious mind AND our unconscious mind. And our unconscious mind is running the show about 90% of the time! Do you know what’s “running” in your unconscious mind? Most of us don’t. Check how you’re feeling, right this moment? Do you feel run down, sad, angry, hopeless, scared? Or do you feel joyous, happy, grateful? Or somewhere in-between? Your feelings are a direct reflection of your thoughts. And your thoughts/feelings are what are manifesting your life. So if your life isn’t working the way you want it to, it’s time to start Consciously Manifesting.

I’ve been studying the Law of Attraction for about 25 years now. My understanding and use of the Law grows daily. In the past few years, I’ve really begun to “get it.” That doesn’t mean it has to take you that long! On the contrary. There are so many people like myself who are “getting it,” and sharing it. I’ll be writing and teaching more on the the Law of Attraction, both here on the blog and e-zine, AND in my upcoming f*r*e*e online 1-hour webinar “Conscious Manifesting,” happening on Thursday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time (that’s 2:00 pm Eastern Time). “What’s Tapping got to do with manifesting?” you might be wondering. Everything. Our emotions contain all sorts of negative charge – from a lifetime of negativity. it’s time to release the negative charge and be free.
Here’s a brief tapping script to get you started. (To familiarize yourself with Tapping protocol, please visit my Tapping Basics page.)

Here are the abbreviations: Abbreviations:

ET = Even Though
IDACAM = I Deeply and Completely Accept Myself

Starting on the Karate Chop (KC) Point:
ET I don’t believe that I manifest my life! IDACAM
ET I don’t manifest it all the time, anyway!, IDACAM
ET I want to believe that life just happens to me, IDACAM
(then tapping through the points):

-I don’t want to believe that I manifest my life
-I don’t want to believe that I have no control, either
-If I manifest my life, then I have to be accountable for it
-I can’t blame others
-No! I don’t manifest my life
-It all just happens to me
-I’m not willing to even consider that I manifest my life!
-That’s just too scary.
-But what if it’s possible that I DO manifest my life?
-How can that be?
-I never WANTED that thing to happen to me!
-I never WANTED to get sick!
-I never WANTED to experience that sadness!
-No! It’s not possible!

Take a deep breath. Let’s do another round.
ET I don’t want to believe that I manifest my life, I suppose it might be true some of the time, and IDACAM
ET I might manifest some of the things that happen in my life, IDACAM
ET this is a whole new idea to me, and it scares the crap out of me! IDACAM
(through the points)

-Manifesting
-That’s like creating
-I’ve never set out to create my life before
-Well, I’ve set goals, and sometimes made those happen
-But that’s different
-Isn’t it?
-I wonder if anyone else knows about this?
-It sounds too ethereal to me
-And I’m a grounded person
-None of these weird ideas for me
-This must be how people felt when someone suggested that the Earth wasn’t flat
-This must be how people felt when they first saw an airplane fly
-This must be how people felt when they first considered sending a man to the moon
-It really shakes up my belief system!
-That makes me nervous and scared
-This is all so new to me.
-I’m feeling overwhelmed by the idea
-I wonder if I don’t have to be scared
-I wonder if I can just let it sink in a bit before I react
-I wonder if I can simply consider the possibility.

Now take another deep breath. If you’re triggered by these rounds, do them again. And again if needed, to bring down the intensity, until you are comfortable (at a 3 or lower) about simply considering this idea that we are manifesting our own lives.

Remember that character from SNL? She could find something negative to say in any situation. We all know someone who is a bummer to be around. Someone who sees the glass as half-empty – or totally empty. It may be a family member, or someone you work with. And we all get sucked into that mindset of complaining or judging – especially when we’re around others who do it.

The Law of Attraction reminds us that “What we focus on, we get more of.” So yes, if I’m complaining, it attracts more things into my life to complain about.

-”But I have to complain sometimes, don’t I!” I can hear the collective outcry. I’ve said it myself. The answer is a resounding “No!.” And yet, I still find myself complaining sometimes. This is a deep habit that is personal, familial, and cultural. We LOVE to complain! It makes us feel like part of the crowd.

-”But what if I get bad service in a restaurant – don’t I have the right to complain?” Here’s the answer: Complaining is not the same thing as feedback. You can give genuine and helpful feedback – directly to your server is optimal, and not in front of anyone else. You can tip accordingly. You can mention it to the manager. Then you can drop it. You have a right to do whatever you want about it. Ask yourself why you feel compelled to tell everyone you know about the bad service you received at such-and-such a Bistro. The more emotion you put into complaining, the stronger that energy will come boomerang-ing back to YOU!

Own your own reality. You create your reality, so you might ask yourself how you created that bad service, or whatever else you’re complaining about. If you’re complaining about a problem you feel powerless to solve, know this: You are giving away a tremendous amount of power and energy. Take that energy back, and aim it at something positive – something you believe in! Like creating a new business, writing a book, starting an organization that does amazing things in the world, etc.

Woman Turning Off AlarmDo you ever have difficulty falling asleep? Does it happen frequently? Sleep patterns can quickly become chronic. We need a restful night’s sleep EVERY night to be at our best. You can use Tapping to begin to retrain your mind to sleep through the night.

Here are a couple of additional tips for better sleep:
-Regular sleep hours. Schedule them like you would any other “appointment.”
-Turn off your electronics 30-60 minutes before bedtime. This includes TV, computer, tablet, phone, etc.
-Do a brief meditation just prior to bed time.
-Reduce caffeine intake during the day, and experiment with times (i.e. no caffeine after 10 a.m.) to see what effect it has on you.

-Use this Taping Script when you can’t fall asleep, or if you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep. You can do it silently, and you don’t even have to touch the Tapping points (merely imagine touching them). Adapt this script to your own words/feelings/situation. It will help to quiet your mind and relax your body.

Tapping Script to Fall Asleep

Please note: A small percentage of people find Tapping to be stimulating. So Tapping at bedtime, or when you can’t sleep might be counter-productive. If you find this to be true (if the Tapping doesn’t help you fall asleep, but rather, makes you more awake, you can try the “touch-and-hold” technique on the Tapping points. Touch each point and hold your finger(s) there while you say the phrase. You can even imagine touching each point while you say or think the phrases! You don’t need to say these phrases out loud (don’t wake your partner!), and you can adapt them to suit you!

Karate Chop Point:
-ET (Even Though) I’m wide awake, and I want to be sound asleep, ID&CL&AM (I Deeply & Completely Love & Accept Myself)
-ET my mind is swirling with thoughts and worry, ID&CL&AM
-ET I’m thinking about all the things I didn’t do today, or need to do tomorrow, and I really need to get some sleep, ID&CL&AM

Through the Points:
-All these thoughts
-I wish I could quiet my mind
-It’s like there’s a conference going on in my head
-It’s keeping me awake
-I need to go to sleep
-I am so sleepy
-I’d like some peace
-I choose to know that I’ve done all I can for today
-I choose to know that tomorrow will take care of itself tomorrow
-I choose to release all this worry to God (or Universe, or Spirit, or whatever you call yours)
-I choose to find peace right here and now
-I feel my feet and my legs relaxing, as I take a deep breath in and out
-I feel my hips and my stomach relaxing, as I take a deep breath in and out
-I feel my torso and my chest relaxing, as my breathing becomes rhythmic
-I feel my shoulders and my neck relaxing, as I release the tension of the day
-I feel my throat and my jaw relaxing, as I feel Divine Spirit taking charge
-I feel my tongue and cheeks relaxing, as I release any remaining worry
-I feel my forehead and scalp relaxing, as i snuggle into the safety of my wonderful bed
-I choose to sleep deeply and soundly through the night

By now you should be asleep. If not, you can do the routine again, using whatever phrases apply to how you’re feeling.

Feeling Unsafe Reaching Your Goals?

Is there a part of you that feels unsafe reaching your goals?
UnsafeOften when I’m working with people, they resist making changes that they say they want to make. When we dig a little further, we usually discover an unconscious “I’m not safe.” It often doesn’t make logical sense, but with Tapping, we’re usually working with the illogical part of the mind. If you find yourself saying you want to do something, but feeling stuck, try this tapping script a few times, and see if anything gets “unstuck.”
Tapping Script for When You’re Feeling “Not Safe”

Use this script when you feel that it’s not safe…to express yourself, to BE yourself, to be touched, to be alone, to be loved, to love, or any other “not safe” feeling you might be having. As always, get an intensity reading before and after, and make a note of anything that comes up for you while you’re tapping! Contact me if you have any questions.

Focus on whatever feels “Not Safe”. Then use the script:
Karate Chop Point:
ET (Even Though) I don’t feel safe, ID&CL&AM (I Deeply & Completely Love & Accept Myself), and I honor my feelings about this
ET I’ve had past experiences that tell me it isn’t safe ID&CL&AM, and I choose to know I’m safe right here, right now
ET My mind is attached to these old feelings of “Not Safe,” ID&CL&AM, and I’m open to the possibility that I really AM safe!
(Tapping through the Points)
-It’s not safe for me to speak my mind
-My thoughts and opinions aren’t valid
-I’m not worthy
-It’s not safe for me to say no
-It’s not safe for me to say yes
-It’s not safe for me to love – openly and freely, and in a healthy way
-It’s not safe for me to set clear boundaries
-It’s not safe for me to be alone
-it’s not safe for me to attract love
-I wonder why I believe those things
-It doesn’t make much sense to me now
-They must be really old beliefs – given to me when I was too young to know better
-But I’ve outgrown those beliefs
-They don’t suit me anymore
-I choose to dissolve these old, limiting beliefs
-And replace them with fresh new ideas
-Like: I AM safe to speak my mind
-My thoughts and opinions ARE valid
-I AM worthy. Totally worthy.
-I like the feeling of saying yes when I mean yes
-And no when I mean no
-It IS safe to love – openly, freely, and in a healthy way
-I’m gonna take these new ideas out for a spin
-Try them on for size
-And use them to create my own beliefs
-I can think for myself
-And beliefs are just thoughts that have been repeated over and over again
-I’m feeling some freedom here
-And that feels really good.

Breathe deeply. Repeat as needed.

Finding Your Purpose

You hear a lot of talk these days about “finding your purpose,” and “living your purpose.” Many people have been ignoring their purpose for so long that they have lost touch with it. How do you get back in touch with your purpose? Here are a few things you can try:

-Sit quietly and ask your heart what it’s longing for. Sit long enough to hear what your heart tells you. And pay attention. Keep a journal of these heart conversations. After awhile, you will begin to see a pattern in the responses.

-Do a mental scan of your life and ask yourself what activities you’ve enjoyed in the past. Which ones gave you that feeling of “getting lost in the moment,” when all your attention and emotion could be channeled into that activity, and the rest of the world seemed to melt into the background.

-Was there something you loved to do or desired to do when you were young – between the ages of 4 and 24 – that someone told you you couldn’t/shouldn’t/wouldn’t be good at/make money at/pursue? Well, I’m here to give you permission to get out that paintbrush and canvas, tune up that guitar, sing out loud, dance like nobody’s watching, write that poetry, sew that creation, weld that jewelry, build that sandcastle, design that house/bike/car/spaceship. There is a creative part of you that is aching to get out and be seen. Stop the aching and let it out! Please don’t listen to what others say about it – unless they are urging you to do it! Other people have fears, and they project them on us. We have fears, too, so we respond. Let’s let that go. Here’s a tapping script to help you:

ET = Even though
ID&CL&AM = I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

ET I have this creative genius in me that is aching to get out, ID&CL&AM

ET I’ve been hiding my creativity away all these years, ID&CL&AM

ET they told me I couldn’t/shouldn’t/wouldn’t pursue my creativity, ID&CL&AM, and I choose now to forgive myself, and anyone else who played a part in this

Tapping through the points:

-My creativity
-My joy
-My gifts
-I’ve been hiding them away because someone said I should
-I’ve got gifts
-They’re aching to be seen
-And I can share my gifts
-Even if I just share them with ME!

-No one even knows I have them
-But I know I have them
-And God/Universe/Spirit knows I have them
-They were given to me to share

-I’m choosing to forgive myself for believing that

-I can pursue my creative gifts for the mere joy of doing it
-I can choose to share what I do with others, or keep it to myself
-But I choose to no longer hide my gifts away
-They are a part of me
-A glorious part of me
-And I choose now to shine!

Deep breath. Check in with your purpose now. Bring out your creative gifts. Look, listen and FEEL for your purpose. You don’t have to decide in one day. You can do many things! You can pursue all of your interests. But whatever you choose, choose to find joy!
