In my own life, I practice all the things I talk about to you – my readers and clients. I Tap on my stuff every day – sometimes several times a day. I notice my feelings and consciously shift my thoughts to ones that feel better. I have an Intention list – for 2014 and beyond – that really “draws me outside the edges of what is familiar – beyond my comfort zone.” I have a lot of FUN. I enjoy life – even the failures. I have created a mindset of possibility for myself and others. I practice manifesting every day. I try to find love and forgiveness for myself and others. I allow my teen and adult children to live their lives – with love and encouragement from me. I finally feel authentic.

I haven’t always been this way. I spent many years in the throes of alcoholism and drug addiction – doing everything I could to avoid feeling my feelings. I got sober in 1987, and began a spiritual journey of recovery. For many years (even in recovery) I held on to resentments – old and new. I felt jealousy and envy towards others. I compared myself to just about everyone I met. I continued to act in ways that I thought others wanted me to act and be. I married a man who wasn’t right for me, and who often wasn’t very nice to me. I had four children, and then decided to get divorced. I was angry, bitter, depressed on the inside, and trying to keep it all together on the outside. Oh, if I’d had these tools back then! But each challenge taught me something new about myself and life. I was always curious about human behavior and spirituality. Fast-forward 26 years (and thousands of dollars and hours) – I have found peace and joy and love and authenticity. I live in awe and wonder of the miracles that take place every day in my life.
And I know that YOU don’t have to spend 26 years or thousands of dollars or thousands of hours to find what I’ve found. Tapping can help you leap-frog to the place where you want to be in life. You can do a lot of the work on your own. But you can’t do it all on your own. At some point you’ll need to work with someone else to help you see the stuff you can’t see about yourself. Whether it’s with me or another practitioner, I want this for you. Give yourself the gift of freedom! You deserve it!
Happy New Year!

Tapping for this chocolate craving
Here’s the audio:
I like these amazing mint patties that are made right here in Oregon. I will get on my bike in the freezing cold and ride to the New Seasons Market just to buy these things. I’m craving the one I have in my cupboard right now. the problem is, I promised myself I would wait until Saturday to eat it. And it’s only Tuesday. What to do – for this or any other craving? Tap, of course! Here we go: You can think of your craving, and just tap along with me. Rate the intensity of your craving before you begin, and again after each round until your craving is gone. If you give in, use the second tapping script below.
My craving is at an 8
ET I’m craving that mint patty in the cupboard, ID&CL&AM
ET I can almost FEEL it in my mouth, ID&CL&AM
ET part of me really wants to eat it, and no one would know but me, I promised myself I’d wait until Saturday, so I’m tapping on it, and ID&CL&AM
(Tapping through the points – one point for each phrase:
-This craving!
-God, I can almost taste that luscious chocolate and mint filling!
-I love those mint patties!
-But I promised myself I’d save this one until Saturday
-And there it is in my cupboard
-Calling me
-I don’t want to give in
-I can feel the craving getting less already
-There’s hope!
-I choose to know I can wait a few minutes
-The mint patty will still be there later
Take a deep breath
Re-rate your craving. Mine is at a 1. Yours may not have dropped so quickly. That’s ok. Keep tapping. Use this same script or audio over and over. Go at least 5 minutes, or until your craving goes down to a 3 or lower.
If you DO choose to give in to your craving (and at some level, it IS a choice), tap this round FIRST, so that you can enjoy it and not feel guilty. Because guilt while we eat is bad for our digestion and our body!!!
-ET I’m giving in to my craving and I’m gonna eat this chocolate anyway, ID&CL&AM
-ET I tried tapping away my craving, it didn’t work, and I’m choosing to give in to the craving, and I Love myself anyway
-ET I’m eating something that I was craving, and I wanted to NOT eat it, ID&CLAM, and I choose to enjoy this food without guilt
-This chocolate
-I love chocolate
-It tastes soooo good
-I’m gonna enjoy THIS chocolate
-And I choose to eat it without guilt
-I choose to eat a reasonable amount
-And enjoy it in the moment, with all of my senses
Deep breath! Enjoy the chocolate.

Just before Halloween each year, I always try to get business things kind of tidied up, because it seems that after October 31, everyone is in Holiday Mode, and time seems to shrink away, as our calendars fill up. I bet you’ve thought about “the holidays” at least once today. You’re already being bombarded with ads and reminders. The pressure and stress has begun.
Would you like to have a calmer, more enjoyable holiday season? Here are 3 tips to help you master your emotions and take charge of your time this season:
1) Right now, go to your calendar and earmark a LIMITED number of evenings for events and parties, programs (like if your kids perform in something) and services. (I mark them with “event/party?” to hold the space on my Google Calendar). This should include Thanksgiving (if you celebrate), and the day of whichever holidays you celebrate. It makes no sense to go to more parties in November and December than you do the entire rest of the year! Promise yourself NOT to exceed that number you have earmarked. The idea is to ask yourself right now “how many is too many?” and don’t go there. If you know that going to 3 parties in one week is going to wipe you out, then only allow 2. Because remember, there is preparation (like food, buying a bottle of wine, dressing for the party, and for some of you, getting a babysitter!). Talk with your partner about this, and coordinate work parties, too. Take a little bit of time to schedule NOW to avoid getting burned out later.
2) Spend less money! Give practical, useable, consumable gifts – like salts and oils and wine and baked goods and other things that aren’t just things. No one I know needs more stuff. Consider giving experiences – such as a membership to the art museum, or theater tickets, or a train ride. Or present them with healing. A gift card for Tapping, Acupuncture, Massage, Reiki – all make wonderful gifts. Even for the kids – if the kids in your life are looking for a bunch of stuff for the holidays, this is the year to begin to wean them. It doesn’t need to be “cold turkey,” but help them to see a new perspective by donating to an amazing charity on their behalf, and then introduce them to the work the charity does. Some of my favorites are Project Light Rwanda, Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation, Community Cycling Center. I’ve taken my kids and worked a homeless shelter serving Thanksgiving meals. Start a family legacy. There are lots of wonderful things to do with and without money. Use your imagination.
3) *Just slow down! *Take a walk. Many years ago, I began going out for a long walk with my kids, during the day on December 24th. We would meander through the town we lived in back then, and I felt so lucky to not be rushing around. If it’s not done by the 23rd, allow yourself to say “it’s not getting done!” *Throughout this season, take lots of “breath breaks.” Do it right now. Take a deep breath in – filling your lungs all the way. Keep your shoulders down, and your back straight. Exhale slowly. Do that two or three times. Repeat throughout every day.

Short Circuit My Negative Thinking with Tapping
See this story [e-zine 11-13-13] for details about this technique:
Are you ready to short-circuit some of that negative thinking? Some of those anxious emotions that come on seemingly from nowhere? Are you tired of having that same conversation in your head – over and over? Let’s free up all that energy, and use it for creating a glorious life! It’s totally possible!
Try this simple tapping script for breaking the habitual thought patterns that keep you stuck.
First, think of a thought, feeling or emotion that you experience regularly. One that is negative, and tends to take you down the rabbit-hole into a bad mood -or worse. This could be “My boss never notices how hard I work,” or, it could have to do with “I should have said,” where you re-live a scene in your head, saying what you’d like to say instead of what you did say, or any other repeating thought or emotion.
As you think about this thought habit, notice how it makes you FEEL in your body. Where do you feel it? What do you call the emotion it brings up?
When you think about this thought happening again, how would you RATHER feel? What is the positive emotion you would like to feel?
Tap, using this script. You can replace the emotion words with ones that are more specific to you, or you can use these words – your brain will know what to do with them.
On the Karte Chop Point:
ET I feel so angry when I think about how my boss doesn’t acknowledge how hard I work, I choose to say “STOP” to my thoughts, and I choose Calm and Confidence.
It’s that simple.
Use this script now, and ANY time this thought or emotion comes up. When you find that your boss no longer triggers this emotion in you, move on to the next situation that causes you trouble. Pretty soon, your brain will know what to do, and you will likely be able to shorten it to “I choose Calm and Confidence,” or whatever your positive emotion words are.

The Law of Attraction is in action 100% of the time. It’s like the Law of Gravity. You can’t see it, but you can see it’s effects. It doesn’t matter if you’re a good person or a bad person, the Law doesn’t care. It doesn’t matter if you believe in it or not, if you jump off a building, you’ll hit the ground. If you think and feel and believe in your ideas, they will manifest.

Here are some thoughts on the Law of Attraction: If I really, really, really want a new car, for example. I know what kind of car I want. I know what color. And I can imagine what it would feel like to drive it. Or better yet, I take it out for a test drive. If I can hold that vibration about that car, I will get it. The Universe will line it up for me. That might include getting extra clients so I can make the payment. It may mean that I meet someone who owns that car, and they ask me to drive it for them while they’re travelling. It may mean I win that car in a contest. But I will get it. However, if I am jealous of every other person I see driving the car of my dreams – I’ve just sent a new message to the Universe, and I won’t be getting that car. I’ll be getting more things to feel jealous about. If I don’t really believe I can have it, or I think people will judge me for driving that magnificent machine, I once again cut off the flow. If I limit myself to only one way of getting the car – and I don’t believe I can earn the money, again I cut off the flow – making it nearly impossible to achieve my dream.
So you see, if the Law of Attraction doesn’t seem to be working for you, do some investigating. It IS working, but you may be sending the wrong vibration.with your thoughts (conscious or unconscious). You may be saying “no” to opportunities that come your way, simply because they don’t look the way you thought they should.
Do you have questions about the Law of Attraction, and how to harness it in your favor? Please post them, and I’ll answer every one of them.
Here’s a tapping script to get you closer to manifesting what you DO want:
(Karate Chop Point):
-Even though (ET) I don’t seem to be manifesting what I say I really want, I Deeply & Completely Love & accept Myself (ID&CL&AM)
-ET part of me thinks the Law of Attraction doesn’t work, ID&CL&AM and I accept all my feelings around this
-ET I believe that that only way to get what I want is to work HARD, ID&CL&AM
(Tapping Around the Points, starting on the top of the head, one point per phrase)
-Law of Attraction
-I don’t really believe in it
-It’s sure not working for me!
-I’m pretty clear about what I want
-I talk about it all the time
-I look at pictures of it
-I really want it
-But i’m not any closer to having it
-Maybe I’m asking for too much
-Maybe I don’t deserve it
-What would people think if I got it, and didn’t have to work hard
-I have some conflicting beliefs about the thing I say I want
-I wonder if those conflicting beliefs are sending a mixed message to the Universe
-I wonder if I’m blocking my own dreams
-I wonder if the Law of Attraction is working precisely
-I choose to go easy on myself
-I choose to know that I can overcome the limiting parts of my beliefs
-I can use tapping to align my thoughts and beliefs and feelings
-And maybe then I can manifest my desires
Try this tapping routine, and see what comes up for you. Most likely it will trigger some new things to tap on. Go ahead and tap on those, too. Clear your limiting beliefs. Align your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. I want you to have everything you want! The Law of Attraction IS working in your life. If you want to know what your thoughts and beliefs and feelings are, look at what’s in your life.
