Hug More!
Do you get enough hugs? Do you give enough hugs? I know I don’t! We NEED touch with other humans. It doesn’t have to be sexual (though that’s nice, too!).
Watch this video, and you will be hugging your loved ones at every opportunity!

One of the two best ways I know to not age (or to “Youth”) is learning. Learning exciting and interesting new things.
What do YOU want to learn? Is there something that you’ve cut yourself off from – out of some old belief? Is there something that makes you giddy to think about doing? Maybe belting out a song like Aretha Franklin or Christina Aguilera (OK, I know I’m dating myself!).
How about learning to play guitar? Or going deep into your knowledge of a particular time in history, or a particular event, person, or a particular building?
Would you like to learn to write poetry or a screenplay? Tell a joke? Reupholster your favorite chair?
Would it light your fire to change your style?
Are you longing to deepen your spiritual practice, but you’re afraid to ask for guidance?
Do you want to run a marathon? Or climb a mountain? Cross country ski? Snowboard?
Have you been feeling like you “missed” the technology age – and now it’s too late to catch up?
Where can you grow, change, improve? Start small. Give it your attention. Give it your love. Get the resources and support you need. Don’t give up if you fail at first. Use this as a practice for Life!
If you approach each day of the rest of your life with this new outlook, I guarantee you will feel and look younger. Let’s really LIVE!
Here’s a Tapping audio to get you motivated:
Begin by saying this phrase out loud:
“I can’t learn new things!” or “I don’t want to learn anything new!” and rate how true that feels for you, using the 0-10 scale. Write the number down. As you tap, notice any thoughts or images that come up for you and STOP the recording to write them down. Go back and tap on those later.
Here we go.:
ET I’ve put off learning new things, ID&CL&AM
ET I’ve limited myself because of my past experience, ID&CL&AM
ET I’m afraid to try something new – I’m too old, and I might fail, ID&CL&AM
-Learning new things
-I’m too old to learn those things
-I’ve tried in the past
-I’ve failed in the past
-I’m afraid to try again to learn it
-I’ve never really THOUGHT about trying again to learn it
-I just gave up
-I thought it was too late
Learning new things
It takes a lot of time to learn new things
I’m too busy
Busy doing things that are stressing me
I’m busy
Busy, busy, busy
I’m resisting learning new things
I don’t even know why I’m resisting
Now that I’m aware of my resistance
It doesn’t seem so strong
Maybe I’ve been resisting unconsciously
Fighting without even knowing I was fighting
That’s a lot of hard work
A lot of energy wasted
I wonder if I could harness some of that energy
And put it into learning something new?
Learning something new
It doesn’t seem quite so scary now
I’m not so afraid of failing
It might be kind of fun to learn something new
It might give my life some pizazz
Maybe if I just pick one thing to focus my attention and energy on
Learn everything I can about that one thing
I’m feeling lighter and more excited already
Breathe. Re-rate the intensity of “I can’t learn new things.” . Tap again as needed.
Say this phrase “I take life so seriously,” and rate how true that is for you 0-10.
ET I take life so seriously, ID&CL&AM
ET Life seems like it deserves serious attention, ID&CL&AM
ET I’ve been taking life seriously for a while now – I forget when I stopped being silly, and ID&CL&AM
I’m so serious about life
Serious about what I do
Serious about business
Serious about relationships
I feel like I need to be serious
When did I start being so serious?
I used to have a lot more fun
I’d like to have more fun now
But I have to take life seriously
Until I get things done
Then I can be lighten up
Then I can relax
I wonder when that will be?
I wonder when I’ll ever get things done?
There’s always something new to do
And I’m taking things so seriously
I want people to take me seriously
So I feel like I have to be serious
I want to lighten up
But I’m afraid I won’t be taken seriously if I do
It’s serious hard work being so serious!
I wonder if it’s possible to Lighten up!
I’m open to lightening up
Just letting go a bit
Maybe people will still take me seriously if I lighten up
Maybe they’ll enjoy me more
Maybe I’LL enjoy me more!
If I lighten up a bit
Maybe all my seriousness is attracting more seriousness
Maybe lightening up will attract more lightness
I’m going to give it a try
I’m going to just lighten up!
Breathe. Say the phrase again: “I take life so seriously” and re-rate it.
Notice what came up for you while you tapped. Any funny ideas or ways to lighten up? Or maybe you just FEEL lighter? Tap on this as often as needed.

What you believe – which is a series of thoughts you think over and over – is what shows up in your reality. I can hear the “But what about…s” already. Before you start arguing or resisting, know that what you believe and think about creates an energetic vibration. Every thought and combination of thoughts creates a particular vibration or frequency. Those frequencies are like radio signals – they go out all around you and into the Great Field. They attract back frequencies that are similar.
So if you get in a car accident, it’s not because you were wishing for such a thing. But you had to have been on that frequency – of two vehicles coming together, or the drama of the wreck, or the FEELING state that the accident brought up in you – something that matches.
And other people’s realities collide with ours. Not all willy nilly. There is a Grand Design. No, you’re not fated to certain things. And no, your future isn’t all planned out for you. You do have Free Will. But as you create your reality, based on your thoughts and beliefs, The Divine oversees all the workings. And no, The Divine isn’t some guy with a white beard and long robes sitting “up there” watching us. That’s merely the human form we gave Source Energy.
I don’t really KNOW any of this stuff. But in my experience, and in the experience of hundreds of millions of other people, these are the Laws that help us work with the energetic stuff. rather than feel like a puppet. There have even been many scientific studies done that validate these ideas. The problem for me is that science is really limited. But for those of you who like scientific evidence, here’s some for you: Click here; or if you’re a hard-core skeptic, this.
Whether or not the Law of Attraction “exists” doesn’t really matter. If I act as if it does, and attempt to work with it, it benefits me. If I act as if it doesn’t, an just go on complaining and worrying and feeling bad, it doesn’t benefit me. I can tell you – when I’m in a place of authentic self-empowerment, thinking positive thoughts, envisioning my future while enjoying my NOW, the world is a much more fun place to be!
Maybe you heard it growing up: Work hard, and you’ll get ahead. And maybe you believed it. I know I did. But I’m here to tell you that I used to work really, really hard. And I never really “got ahead.” Now I don’t work hard, and I’m finally getting ahead.
That makes me sound kinda lazy, I know. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m anything but lazy. I just don’t want to work hard anymore. I want to do great things. There’s a huge difference. I want to positively influence a greater sphere of people (widening that sphere all the time). I want to inspire others to widen their own sphere of influence. And I want to create a legacy – leaving the world a better place than I found it. I want to create abundant income. And I want to help others create their own abundance. That may sound like hard work. But it’s not, because it’s fueled by my personal passion. And that’s the difference. When I worked hard to make money, I never got ahead. But when I started to live my passion, in order to help others, I began to get ahead in every area of my life.
What does that mean, anyway, “getting ahead”? Getting ahead of the Joneses? Getting ahead of the IRS? Getting ahead of your bills? Those are all material versions of getting ahead. I think money is pretty great. And I am creating a lot of income. But more importantly, I’m changing lives, I’m living with intention and passion, and I’m loving what I’m doing! Making money is not my first thought. It always was when I was “working hard.”
I don’t believe life is meant to be hard work. In fact, I believe it’s meant to be joyous and flowing. Oh sure, there will be unpleasant times, but they are meant to be short-lived. I can hear some of you saying “You just don’t know what it’s like!” And I’m sure each of you has your own hellish experience to back up that comment. We all have hellish experiences. Mine may not look like yours, but they are my own personal hellish experiences. And I have learned to release them. Not ignore them. Not stuff them. But experience them, then release them. And then, give in to good feelings. It’s as if we feel bad when we feel good. Let’s begin to change that.
Consider this idea, from a book called “Letting Go,” by David Hawkins. He writes: “When we utilize these techniques of relinquishing the negative and surrendering resistance to the positive, sooner or later we come into a sudden, comprehensive awareness of our true dimension. Once this has been experienced, it will never be forgotten. The world will never intimidate us again as it once did. There may be continued compliance with the ways of the world out of sheer habit, but the inner vulnerability, and the inner doubt, is now gone. Outwardly, the behavior may appear the same but, inwardly, the causes for it are now totally different. The end result of the conscious handling of emotion is invulnerability and imperturbability. Our inner nature is now bullet-proof. We are able to go through life with balance and grace.”
Read it again. And again if you need to. This is some powerful shit. How would it feel to experience “the world will never intimidate us again as it once did.” Whoa, that’s worth considering. And he tells you right there how to do it: “Relinquish the negative and surrender resistance to the positive.” So simple, and yet so difficult to do.
I’ll leave you with that thought to ponder. More in future posts. I’d love to hear your comments on negative and positive.
