In his book “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success,” Deepak Chopra writes in detail about “The Law of Pure Potentiality.” I love this Law, and have experienced at moments in my life. Essentially, he is saying that everything is energy, and that we – each of us – is a manifestation and extension of The Great Field – the Field of Potentiality. When we can “implant” an image or a resonance into the field, we have set the creation of that thing in motion. In order to experience it in our own life, we need to maintain that resonance – at least a majority of the time. That doesn’t mean we have to spend all day every day imagining that new car that we want. But once we have set the image in motion, we have to maintain our high frequency of belief and expectation in order for the car to come into our reality. If you see your dream car going down the road – obviously with someone else at the wheel – and you think thoughts like “well, I guess someone else got my car,” or “I’m never going to get my car,” or if you feel jealous or angry, well, you’ve just put the brakes (pun intended) on the manifestation of that car into your life. Please don’t misunderstand me – I’m not suggesting that all you have to do is envision your new BMW and hold the vision and it will appear in your driveway with your name on the registration (although that may happen), but what I AM saying is that when you hold the vision and the resonance of the car, things will begin to happen to bring that car closer to you and you will experience opportunities to get into it, and drive it, and eventually have it. Most of us, though, can’t seem to maintain that frequency long enough to manifest what we say we really want.
Here’s something you can try – to get your manifesting muscle in shape: Think of something you want. Something that isn’t too “big” a thing, but is big enough to convince you when you get it. Write it down in detail, as if you already have it. Write about how you feel, how the world looks different, how you act now that you have it. For example “I love my new Samsung Tablet. The screen resolution is amazing! I have found even more uses for it than I originally thought. It is easy to use. I love how lightweight it is. I take it on business trips, and I don’t need to carry my laptop. I really appreciate this technology – it makes it easier for me to do business and to keep in touch with my friends and family.” Or something along those lines. Then stash piece of paper away.
Over the next 30 days, notice with appreciation every time you see anything that is your “want,” or the essence of it. Even if you see someone else carrying the Tablet you desire. Go to the store and try it out. Do you have money to buy it? If not, notice how things line up so that money is coming in. The key is to not give up hope or desire for the thing you want (unless you discover that you really don’t want it anymore!). At the end of 30 days, notice if you’ve “received” the thing you wrote down, or if you’re closer to having it. If not, reflect back on how your energy has been about the thing you want. Has it gone up and down? Did you forget about the thing for most of the month? Is there something greater that you want?
Practice this daily – several times a day. Watch as you become a great manifestor!
